Living Smart course for Brighton residents
Residents of all ages and backgrounds are invited to register interest to enrol in the Living Smart course as it is designed to be tailored to different lifestyles and levels of commitment.
The course includes expert speakers, practical demonstrations and field trips, giving participants ways to address their greenhouse emission footprint through steps such as using renewable energy, lowering fuel bills, establishing waterwise gardens, growing food and reducing waste.
Quotes from two 2008 Kwinana course participants
“Living Smart gave me practical information and strategies to help rethink how I do things. Since completing the course I grow vegies, compost green waste and buy renewable energy – positive change helps!”
“I found the Living Smart course full of lots of practical information and handy tips on how to make change to reduce and reuse in our home that were not expensive or overly time consuming. Libby, our course presenter, was very positive and I came away feeling empowered to improve the impact our family was making on climate change. It was a very positive experience and a great way to get to know like minded people in my community.”
